What was the total cost of the legal action to the City of South Perth?
To date, the City of South Perth has spent $53,000 on legal costs. The court deemed the local governments involved in the legal action will be liable for sharing the State’s legal costs. Apart from the applicant Councils and Ian Kerr, there were three other councils who also funded the Supreme Court action.
Was the funding for that legal action included in the city’s 2014-15 budget? If not, how will it be funded?
The City allocated $150,000 for legal proceedings in the 2014/2015 Budget.
Has the City of South Perth made a decision as to whether it will lodge an appeal to yesterday’s verdict?
No.
