Justice of the Peace

Justices of the Peace (JPs) are appointed by the Governor to carry out official administrative and judicial duties in the community. Their administrative tasks include witnessing affidavits and documents such as wills, passport applications and statutory declarations.

A Justice of the Peace service is available at the South Perth and Manning Libraries at the times listed below.

South Perth Library

11.30am–1pm, Mondays
11.30am–1pm, Wednesdays

Manning Library* 

*Due to the Manning Library relocation, from Thursday 8 December 2016 until February 2017, the Justice of the Peace service will be located at George Burnett Leisure Centre, Cnr Manning Road and Elderfield Road, Karawara. A notice will be posted on the library website when the Justice of the Peace service is available at the new Manning Library.

11.30am-1pm, Thursdays

Bookings are not required.

Please note that the JPs are volunteers and may not be available due to unforeseen circumstances. It is advised that you call ahead to ensure the JP is in attendance.
