The City of South Perth is developing its inaugural Cultural Plan to outline a vision, strategies and goals for cultural development from 2018-2022 and beyond.
The Plan will provide a framework for arts and culture across the City, encouraging new opportunities, enhancing existing cultural assets and appropriately allocating resources in line with community priorities and values.
Culture can mean different things to different people. It is a way of life, encapsulating the shared values, attitudes and beliefs of the community which have been influenced by historical, social, environmental and economic experiences.
The City is currently reviewing the feedback from a survey conducted from October 2017 to February 2018 along with information from key community stakeholders, staff and elected members, to create a unique direction for the City’s cultural future.
The draft Plan is being developed and will be available for public comment in late 2018.
