Join the Library

Library membership is free and open to all residents of Western Australia. Becoming a member is easy. If you are over 18 years of age you can register online, or visit your nearest library.  

Renewing items

Renew your items online or give us a call and we can do it for you over the phone.

Loan limits

Library members may borrow up to 20 items from our extensive range of over 70,000 digital and traditional items including new and popular titles across a range of books, DVDs, talking books and magazines.

Library Terms and Conditions

By registering as a member of the City of South Perth library service and accepting a library card, members agree to the Terms and Conditions of Membership.

Temporary membership

If you are visiting Perth, you can join a City of South Perth library as a Temporary Member for a period of up to three months.
