Road rehabilitation works
Every year the City identifies roads within our community that are in need of rehabilitation, including repairs to the road surface and surrounding infrastructure, in order to prevent any further deterioration and avoid costly repairs in the future.
The road works can include:
- Road resurfacing (with asphalt)
- Kerb replacement
- Drainage structure upgrades
- Minor footpath upgrades.

Footpath closures will be in place on Labouchere Road and Mill Point Road at the Civic Heart site in South Perth from mid January 2017.

The City will be undertaking road works at the intersection of Charles Street and Labouchere Road in South Perth in mid January 2017.

The City will be undertaking road rehabilitation works along Canavan Crescent at Godwin Avenue and Pether Road roundabouts from 19 January 2017.

The City will be undertaking road rehabilitation works along Victoria Street between Coode Street and Rose Avenue starting 16 January 2017.
Road works on Edgecumbe Street in Como
The City will be undertaking road rehabilitation works along Edgecumbe Street between Henley Street and the end of the cul de sac, scheduled to start the week commencing 16th January 2017.
Road works on Thelma Street and Hayman Road
From 9 January 2017 the City will be undertaking construction works at the intersection of Thelma Street and Hayman Road.
Half lane closure on Thelma Street from Blamey Place to Hayman Road
The City will be undertaking drainage works along Thelma Street from Blamey Place to Hayman Road from Saturday 3 December.
Road Rehabilitation Works, Lowan Loop in Karawara
From 30 November, the City will be undertaking road rehabilitation works in Karawara along Lowan Loop at both intersections with Walanna Drive.
Road rehabilitation works on Market Street and King Street, Kensington
From 5 December, the City will be undertaking road rehabilitation works along Market Street between Douglas Avenue and Collins Street and along King Street between Market Street and Collins Street in Kensington.
Works on Hovia Terrace between Canning Highway and Third Avenue
Road rehabilitation works are scheduled to start the week commencing 7 November 2016 and estimated to take approximately 3 weeks.

New roundabout for Mt Henry Road and Hope Avenue intersection
The City intends to install a roundabout at the intersection of Mt Henry Road and Hope Avenue in Salter Point to improve access through the junction during periods of high traffic flow.
Closure of section of footpath on Labouchere Road
The footpath and verge on the west side of Labouchere Road adjacent to 32-34 Charles Street will be closed from Monday, 24 October to Friday, 15 December 2016.
Carpark upgrade works at Challenger Reserve
The City will be undertaking upgrade works within the Challenger Reserve carpark located adjacent to Challenger Avenue. The works are scheduled to start the week commencing 10 October 2016 and take approximately 3 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
