Connect South set to transform Mends Street
Construction of the City of South Perth’s Connect South project will commence following Australia Day 2019, with the major project set to transform Mends Street to become the gateway to South Perth and a destination for the local community and visitors.

At the October Council meeting the City of South Perth Council resolved to reaffirm its commitment to the planning and promotion of the development of recreation and aquatic facilities to service community needs.
Connect South project update
Connect South detailed design has been advertised for expression of interest for construction tenders. It is anticipated that construction will commence in late January 2019.
City invites expressions of interest for Millers Pool Cafe
As part of the strategy for Node 5: Mill Point under the South Perth Foreshore Management Plan, the City is inviting proposals to sub-lease an area of land at Millers Pool to deliver a cafe or restaurant facility.
