City invites expressions of interest for Millers Pool Cafe
The City is inviting interested parties to submit a proposal to sub-lease an area of land at Millers Pool in South Perth to deliver a cafe or restaurant facility.
As part of the South Perth Foreshore Management Plan, the strategy for Node 5: Mill Point is to develop the area with a significant focus as a cultural and heritage hub with improvements to the beach, pedestrian and cycle routes and the ecology and amenities of Millers Pool.
The proposed cafe will complement the recent improvements to Millers Pool and provide a casual/informal dining option to visitors to the area.
Expressions of Interest close 6 November.
After the Closing Date, the City and its advisers will review the proposals received and may select a short list for further detailed evaluation.
If a cafe is found to be feasible, further design, consultation and approvals will be required. Community consultation will take place for a period of six weeks once EOI submissions have been reviewed and consultation feedback will be submitted to the Minister of Lands as part of the application to excise an area of land for the cafe.
