Road rehabilitation works
Every year the City identifies roads within our community that are in need of rehabilitation, including repairs to the road surface and surrounding infrastructure, in order to prevent any further deterioration and avoid costly repairs in the future.
The road works can include:
- Road resurfacing (with asphalt)
- Kerb replacement
- Drainage structure upgrades
- Minor footpath upgrades.

Footpath replacement - Eric Street, Como
On Monday 25 August, the City will begin replacing the footpath on Eric Street, between Coode and McDonald Streets, Como, as part of the 2025/26 Slab Replacement Program.

Festive lighting installation works on Angelo Street
The City will install festive lighting on Angelo Street’s median strip from 24–28 August 2025. Works will occur overnight with lane closures and noise controls to minimise disruption.

Road rehabilitation works will begin on Crawshaw Crescent, Como (between Ley Street and Pether Road) from11 August 2025. The six-week project includes resurfacing and minor upgrades. Some property access and reticulation may be temporarily affected. Updates will be provided on the City’s website.

Infill path works will soon be happening in Ruth Street, Como. Construction of new concrete access footpath will improve pedestrian access and safety.

Footpath replacement works will soon be happening on Darling Street soon as part of the City’s 2025/26 Slab Replacement Program.
Footpath replacement - Bickley Crescent between Pether Road and Godwin Avenue, Manning
Footpath replacement works will be happening on Bickley Crescent soon as part of the City’s 2025/26 Slab Replacement Program. These works will be confined to the street verge and will include replacing old concrete slabs and constructing a new 1.5m wide in situ concrete footpath.

Weed Control Treatment Program 2025
The City will be commencing its annual Weed Control Treatment Program in July 2025 to control a range of weeds along the roads, kerbs, and road reserve footpaths to ensure these areas in the City remain at a high level of presentation and amenity for the community.
