Road works - Gwenyfred Road, Kensington

Road rehabilitation works will soon begin on Gwenyfred Road, Kensington. These works will renew the road surface and associated infrastructure, helping extend its lifespan and ensure it remains safe and functional for the community. 

Location: Gwenyfred Road, between Second Avenue and Fourth Avenue, Kensington (see map below)       

Date: Week beginning Monday, 28 September 2026

Duration: Approximately three weeks, weather permitting. Monday to Friday between 7am-5.30pm. Please note the works may not occur every day during this period.

The works include two rounds of asphalt resurfacing, which will temporarily impact property access, as well as minor civil infrastructure upgrades to access ramps, drainage and kerbing that may affect reticulation systems.

The City will make every effort to minimise disruption during these road works. Local residents will be notified by letter, and project updates will also be available on the City’s Roads and Footpath Works website.
