Upgraded car park now open at Manning Senior Citizens Centre

Roads and Footpaths

The Manning Senior Citizens Centre car park is now safer and easier to access, following the completion of resurfacing and upgrade works.

Delivered as part of the City’s Capital Works Program, the works included repairs to the pavement, road surface and associated infrastructure. These improvements help address trip hazards and reduce the risk of vehicle damage from potholes and uneven surfaces. New kerbing was also installed, and fresh line markings were applied to improve the car park’s appearance and usability.

The improvements also benefit members and visitors of the Manning Men's Shed, which is located on the same site. The upgrades enhance the car park’s safety, accessibility and functionality, providing seniors and other visitors with safer, smoother and more convenient access to both facilities.

Construction began in September and was completed in October. The upgrade is one of a few projects planned for this financial year to improve parking facilities across the City. Other works include the recently completed resurfacing of Anstey Street car park in South Perth and upcoming upgrades to the car park at Comer public toilet.

The Manning Senior Citizens Centre and Men's Shed are located at 3 Downey Drive (off Ley Street), Manning.
