Digital library services

While the City's libraries are closed to the public due to COVID-19, library staff are still working hard to bring the wonder of libraries to your homes in different ways.

Below is a list of online service you and your family can enjoy from the comfort of your own home.

eLibrary

The City has an amazing eLibrary which contains some great resources including:

• eBooks & eAudiobooks - we’ve added more items to our Borrow Box collection
• Online magazines
• Streaming services - Kanopy and Beamafilm 
• Online comics 
• Lynda.com - thousands of courses on many different topics and interests, it’s a great resource for upskilling
• Transparent Languages Online - for those who’ve always wanted to learn a new language.

You will need a City of South Perth Library Card to access most resources on the eLibrary, but you can sign up online today for free!

Kids & Teens

For the young, and young at heart, we’ve got some fabulous resources:

• Digital Time for Stories and Rhyme - familiar City of South Perth librarians bring stories and rhyme to your house
• Bear Hunt and Rainbow Trail Windows - walk past the libraries to brighten your day when you're out and about for your daily exercise
• StoryBox Library
• eReading Room for Kids
• Spine Out Magazine for Teens
• Student Box - for year 10-12 students to assist with high school studies.

Local History

• History Talks - Reflect (from afar) join the City's Local History Librarian for short talks all about the weird, wonderful and sometimes unknown history of South Perth
• Anzac History - a way to commemorate Anzacs Day from home
• South Perth Jigsaw Puzzle - complete an online jigsaw of the some historic scenes of South Perth
