Seeking volunteers to establish Parkrun in the City

News Update 19 July 2024
Expressions of Interest

Parkrun is a community recreation activity held across Australia each Saturday morning where participants can walk, jog or run over a 5km course.

There are currently 498 parkrun events around the country taking place every weekend, with more locations being added all of the time.

The City is comprised of ‘active places and beautiful spaces’, including various foreshore reserves and parks that would provide an ideal venue for weekly parkrun sessions for the community.

Expressions of interest are now open for people (volunteers) to nominate to assist with the establishment of parkrun at a suitable local park/reserve.

A small community grant/funding and in-kind support will be available from the City (if required) to assist with establishing parkrun.

To register your interest, please complete the online EOI form before 31 August 2024.
