Festive fun arrives in our City

We’re getting ready to spread some festive cheer with our exciting Christmas in the City line-up, headlined by our much-loved Carols at Sunset on Sunday 7 December. 

We’re once again teaming up with the South Perth Lions Club and inviting everyone to warm up those vocals for magical evening at Sir James Mitchell Park. 

Enjoy the South Perth Lions Big Band and sing along to all your favourite Christmas Carols for a festive-filled summer night on the foreshore. 

There’ll be pre-show entertainment, children’s activities and even a special visit from Santa. Plus, you can pick up some handcrafted Christmas gifts at our Youth Makers Market stalls during the event. 

The South Perth Lions Club will be collecting donations on the night, with profits going towards the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation. 

Why not make a night of it? On your way home, check out homes and businesses sparkling with festive cheer as they vie for cash prizes in our first-ever Christmas Lights Competition, proudly sponsored by Nextdoor, Olsen Butchers, The Karalee, IGA on Preston, Soco Realty and Pagoda Resort. 

You can also enjoy the City’s own dazzling light displays in Mindeerup, Manning Laneway, and along Mends, Preston and Angelo streets. Also, don’t forget our year-round feature lighting will be green and red to mark the festive season. 

Then, on Sunday 14 December, we’ll be partnering with Marketlife to host the first ever South Perth Christmas Markets at Mindeerup Piazza. Featuring a selection of market stalls with high quality, handmade products from local makers and artisans, it is the perfect spot to finish your Christmas shopping.
