Christmas Lights Competition
Calling all festive fanatics - the City's first-ever Christmas Lights Competition is here!
We're on the lookout for homes and businesses bursting with festive cheer and creative displays of lights and decorations.
Whether you wrap your house in lights every year or you’ve never done it before – now is the time to get your festive on. Amazing cash prizes are on offer for the residence and business with the most amazing festive lighting.
Competition details
- Registrations open 9.00am AWST Monday 3 November.
- Registrations close 11.59pm AWST Sunday 30 November 2025.
- Entrants should have their lights on during the competition period of Monday 1 December to Wednesday 24 December 2025.
- Judging will occur between the hours of 8.00pm to 11.00pm AWST Monday 8 December to Friday 12 December.
- Winners will be contacted in the week beginning 15 December.
Any entrants that do not have their lights switched on during the judging period will not be considered. See full details in our Terms & Conditions.
Prizes
- Best business shopfront: $1000
- Best residential: $3000
Prizes will be determined by a judging panel, which includes the Mayor and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the City of South Perth.
