Public holiday changes to City services on Thursday 22 September 2022
Some of the City's services will be affected on the special public holiday on Thursday 22 September 2022, which was recently announced as a National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty the Queen.
Rubbish and recycling collection services will continue as normal and you can find your collection dates here.
The Recycling Centre at 199 Thelma Street, Como will be closed, along with the City's Civic Centre, South Perth and Manning libraries and the South Perth and Manning Senior Citizens Centres. Normal hours will resume on Friday 23 September.
George Burnett Leisure Centre will be closed for two days, including:
- Thursday 22 September – some hirer groups may have access.
- Friday 23 September – closed for maintenance of the Sports Hall, however staff will be available to answer phone calls, with arts workshops provided for the School Holiday Program.
The Queen's Birthday public holiday on Monday 26 September will now be known as the King's Birthday.
