School Holidays Program
The George Burnett Leisure Centre school holidays program are for children interested in sport or art who want to learn some skills in a social, fun and safe environment. Activities are in partnership with Mentally Healthy WA to promote the Act Belong Commit health campaign.
Enrolments are invited from people of all abilities, if you would like to discuss the programs and our capacity to accommodate your individual needs with a staff member call 9474 0855 or email leisurecentre@southperth.wa.gov.au.

Basketball Clinics
The basketball program is run by qualified coaches teaching the basics and putting it into gameplay. Perfect for beginners. Children will be taught dribbling, passing, shooting, game play and team skills.
- Basketball PP-Yr2: 1pm-4pm, Tuesday 9 April 2024. $25+ booking fee. Afternoon tea included.
- Basketball Yrs 3-6: 1pm-4pm, Wednesday 10 April 2024. $25+ booking fee. Afternoon tea included.
Soccer Clinics
Run by qualified coaches teaching the basics and putting it into gameplay. Perfect for beginners.
- Soccer PP-Yr2, 9am-12pm, Friday 12 April 2024. $25+ booking fee. Morning tea included.
- Soccer Yrs 3-6, 1pm-4pm, Friday 12 April 2024. $25+ booking fee. Afternoon tea included.
Arts & Craft Workshop
Children will be painting “Little house on the Prairie" landscape scene, using acrylic on a canvas - all materials are provided. Morning tea is provided.
- Arts and Craft, 9am-12pm, Tuesday 9 April 2024. $45+ booking fee. All art equipment and morning tea included.
Please note that the maximum class sizes for the basketball and soccer clinics is 16, while the maximum for the art class is 12.
