Since we published this story, Paint My Village has postponed the first painting day, Sunday 18 August, due to poor weather conditions. A replacement date has been scheduled for Sunday 1 September 2024.
Let your creativity flow and help us paint a large-scale work of art.
If you’re aged 12 to 25, you’re invited to join us at Village Green, where we’ll be painting a mural designed by artist Mikaela Miller and our volunteers.
Paint My Village is a public art project for young people. You'll join artist Mikaela Millar and the crew from South Perth Youth Network (SPYN) to help make this collaborative work a reality.
Whether you're an artist, creative or a willing volunteer, you'll learn how to paint at scale and work as a team to deliver an awesome public art project.
Choose from six painting sessions over two Sundays:
**Sunday 18 August at 9.30am–11.30pm, 12–2pm and 2–4pm
Sunday 25 August at 9.30–11.30am, 12–2pm and 2–4pm
