Nominating to be a council member

The Local Government Elections on Saturday 21 October 2023 provide our community with an opportunity to have their say on who should represent their views on Council.

If you're keen to make a difference and are considering standing as a candidate, the nomination period opens on Thursday 31 August 2023. 

To help you understand the role and commitment required to be a Councillor, the City will hold a Candidate Information Session at 6pm, Thursday 24 August 2023 at the Civic Centre.
