Christmas-New Year opening hours and rubbish and recycling collection

Opening hours for the City's Civic Centre and many other facilities will change during the Christmas-New Year period.    

On Friday 16 December 2022, the Civic Centre will close at 12pm.

The Civic Centre will also close early at 3pm on Friday 23 December and will remain closed until Tuesday 3 January 2023 when normal hours resume.

Rubbish and Recycling Collection

There will be no change to household bin collections over the festive season, however commercial, park and street bins will be collected one day later.

Recycling Centre

Our Recycling Centre will be open during the festive season, with the City's Waste Services team on hand 8am-2pm, from Thursday 29 December to Saturday 31 December 2023.

Normal hours will resume from Wednesday 4 January 2023.

If you need to dispose of excess food waste, please use the facilities at Armadale, Henderson or Balcatta Recycling Centres.
