The first City of South Perth Youth Plan has been endorsed at the Ordinary Council meeting on Tuesday 22 March, following feedback received from participants at the end of 2021.

With one in five of the City’s residents aged between 10 and 25, the Youth Plan provides a clear direction for service delivery, events and programs for young people for 2021-2026.

The Youth Plan was developed in consultation with young people, parents and caregivers, and in partnership with the South Perth Youth Network and Youth Advisory Council of Western Australia. Their input helped form four key priorities:

  1. youth programs and events
  2. facilities and places for young people
  3. communications and engagement
  4. opportunities for young people to develop their skills.

The finalised Plan is in the process of being graphically designed and will be published on the City’s website in the near future. In the meantime, don’t forget to join us in celebrating Youth Week WA (8-16 April) with initiatives hosted by the City.
