Christmas is in the air in the City of South Perth and we are encouraging everyone to look local for places to shop and things to do. 

There’s no better time get to know the City’s local shops and shopping precincts, with retailers, gift shops and grocers fully stocked and ready to go as the big day speeds towards us. Not only will you avoid postage delays by shopping locally, but you might just discover a new favourite in your own neighbourhood.

We know our local business owners will appreciate support from the community at this busy time of year. Even if you are not shopping you can show your love by following your favourite stores on social media or by leaving them a review. In the leadup to Christmas we will be highlighting retail precincts in the City and encouraging you to share where you will be shopping. Keep an eye on the City’s Instagram and Facebook pages for plenty chances to win one of our bright and fun buy local car sunshades by simply tagging or mentioning your favourite local business.

Buy local, shop local competition terms and conditions

1. This prize draw is run by the City of South Perth (“Promoter”)
2. Entries and information on the prize and how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Participation in the prize draw constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
4. The prize draw is open to anyone who responds to the competition by tagging or mentioning the name of a local business on the competition posts on Facebook or Instagram before the closing time and date specified in the post. 
5. Each prize draw commences at the time of the post and finishes at the time and date specified in the post.
6. Only those who post a comment before the closing date will be entered into the draw. 
7. The prize winners will be drawn at the South Perth Civic Centre and notified by Facebook or Instagram comment or message.
8. If the winner does not contact the City to claim the prize one week after being contacted another winner may be drawn. 
9. Winners will need to collect their prize from South Perth Library or Manning Library by Friday 14 January 2022. 
10. Only one entry permitted per person. Multiple entries will not be accepted.
11. Winners chosen at random. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The prize consists of a car sunshade and is not not transferable or exchangeable.
13. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage or for any personal injury sustained as a result of taking the prize or entering into this competition. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered as prizes.
