Get Online Week 2021
The City’s libraries will be participating in the national initiative Get Online Week, running from 18-24 October 2021.
Come along to a series of free events running at South Perth and Manning libraries and join our Digital Literacy Officer for a ‘tasting plate’ of all things digital. Learn how to get the most out of your digital devices including the best apps and websites for games, health, creativity, and learning that you may benefit from.
Get Online Week is an annual campaign organised by Good Things Foundation, supporting people to improve their digital skills and close the digital divide.
"2.5 million people are offline in Australia. Less than 40% of Aussies are confident that they can keep up with the rapid pace of tech changes.
For people more at risk of digital exclusion, such as older people, people with disability, low income families and First Nations people, this rate is even higher. If the last two years have taught us anything, it's how vital digital skills are to our wellbeing and safety." Read more about Get Online Week.
The City of South Perth Library Click programs are a series of events and national government initiatives aimed to teach and up-skill the community on how to navigate the digital space. Topics include; how to work devices, use the web, and learn through online portals and websites. Find more Click programs.
