Planning under way for reopening of City facilities

COVID

Planning is under way for the reopening of City facilities from Monday 18 May. 

In line with the State Government announcement of the WA roadmap and the easing of restrictions for phase two, the libraries and a number of other facilities will reopen from Monday following COVID safe guidelines.

Attendance at all City facilities will be limited to a maximum of 20 people at one time and all visitors and participants will be required to practise social distancing and good personal hygiene.
 
Manning and South Perth libraries

The libraries will re-open on Monday 18 May for loans and returns. 

Whilst we settle into a new way of working under the current restrictions, we ask that customers keep browsing time to a minimum to allow more people to take the libraries reopening. Assistance will be available to help customers locate and select items quickly.

Three PCs will be available in each library for public use with restricted session times.

The returns shute will be open 24/7.

There will be no face to face programs running, however we still offer a wide range of online options

Opening Hours:

Monday - Friday, 9.30am – 5.30pm*
Saturday, 10am – 1pm
Sunday, closed

*On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30-10.30am, the libraries will be open to Concession Card holders only.

George Burnett Leisure Centre

GBLC will open for small group training and non-contact activities. Change rooms will remain closed but toilets will be open.

Old Mill

The Old Mill site will be open from Tuesday 19 May

Access will be to the grounds only with the doors to the mill and cottage open for viewing but entry will be blocked.

Tuesday - Friday, 10am – 4pm
Saturday - Monday, closed

Parks, reserves and hall bookings

Bookings for parks and reserves will be open for non-contact sport and recreation activities and training.

Hall and indoor venue bookings will also be available for a maximum of 20 people.

Recycling Centre

The Recycling Centre will continue to operate under the revised operating hours for the time being. 

Collier Park Golf 

Collier Park Golf has already reopened and golf is available for 9 hole and 18 hole play for groups of 4 players at 10 minute tee intervals.

Bookings are essential for golf but not the driving range.

Senior Citizens Centres

Centres will re-open on Monday 18 May and most programs will resume with COVID-safe modifications in place. Please contact your local centre for more information.   

COVID Safe

Before reopening, all facilities will complete a COVID Safety Plan and will be fully cleaned.
 
Social distancing, good hygiene and the 4 square metre rule apply to all activities at all facilities.

The City will continue to act on State Government Directives and the COVID page of the City's website will continue to be updated as more information is available and details confirmed.
