Ever wondered why an author might choose to write under another name? A pseudonym is far more than a pen name—it’s an opportunity to reinvent voice, experiment with genre, and free the writer from expectation.

In this author talk, WA author Campbell Jefferys will unpack the art and strategy of writing under a pseudonym. You’ll learn:

  • What a pseudonym can do for you (and what it can’t)

  • How to build a distinct voice, identity, and style tied to your pseudonym

  • Real-world examples—including how Campbell uses the name Royce Leville to write his crime fiction

Campbell will present his crime novel Quintus Huntley – Botany (written as Royce Leville). In the story, Huntley’s only poetry collection is discovered at the scene of a murdered violinist. Though the authorities suspect Huntley, he’s determined to uncover who’s really to blame.

Join us for an inspiring session about creativity, identity, and freedom in writing.
