Coptic Bookbinding Session | 2025 Evolve

Join Perth based artist Bina Butcher for an afternoon bookbinding workshop. Bina will guide you through the process of creating your own unique diary or artist book using the glueless binding technique called "Coptic Binding". Bina will help you to curate and compose your own book using recycled and found materials as well as any artworks, drawings or prints you may have. You will then learn how to stitch your book together using a decorative yet functional stitching method. She will also provide a range of papers and materials for students to use, but the more things you bring along, the more distinctive your book will turn out. This workshop is perfect for beginners and those who may already have an interest in bookbinding.
