Booking is essential.
To celebrate the WA Tree Festival, our Parks and Environment teams are giving away 500 FREE trees to City of South Perth residents.
The first 500 people to register can collect their tree from the City's nursery between 9am and 1pm on Saturday, 10 May 2025.
One tree per family and proof of residency (e.g., Driver’s License) is required. Booking is essential.
Tree species available:
- Banksia menziessii – ‘Fire wood Banksia’ (2-7m)
- Eucalyptus caesia ssp magna – ‘Silver Princess’ (6-7m)
- Eucalyptus preissiana ssp preissiana – ‘Bell Fruited Mallee’ (2-3m)
- Eucalyptus salubris – ‘Gimlet’ (up to 7-9m)
- Eucalyptus synandra – ‘Jingymia Mallee’ (5-6m)
- Eucalyptus torquata - ‘Coral Gum’ (4-10m)
- Eucalyptus woodwardii - ‘Lemon-flowered Gum’ (6-12m)
- Hakea laurina – ‘Pincushion Hakea’ (up to 6m)
This event is part of the City's WA Tree Festival celebration.
Our Stakeholder Engagement team will also be available on the day to talk about the City’s Urban Greening Strategy – our plan for ensuring our neighbourhoods have plenty of green, cooler spaces.
