City seeks artists for Box Gallery exhibition

News Update 30 September 2025
Box Public Art
The City of South Perth is calling for expressions of interest from artists, curators and community groups to create a high-quality, visually engaging display at Box Gallery Manning.

Exhibiting from 1 December 2025 to 27 March 2026, the successful project will feature in the gallery’s lightboxes and may include artworks or other creative items.

There is no set theme, giving applicants the freedom to explore a wide range of ideas. Proposals may consider opportunities for works to:
  • spark exploration or surprise
  • invite interactivity and engagement on-site and online
  • encourage people to rediscover where they live through memory and place
  • reflect site-specificity and country in context.
The selected exhibitor will receive $3,500 (ex GST) to support the creation and presentation of the display.

Expressions of Interest open at 9am, Tuesday 30 September 2025 and close at 4pm, Monday 20 October 2025.
