Join the club
From making friends to learning a new skill, there are so many benefits to being part of a club. A number of clubs and groups meet regularly at our libraries to enjoy activities like knitting, games and reading in a social environment.
If board games are your thing, you will love Chess Club at South Perth Library and Scrabble Club at Manning Library. Everyone is welcome to drop in and join the fun, whether you are an experienced player or just starting out. It’s a great way to exercise your strategic brain and meet like-minded people. Chess Club takes place every Thursday from 9.30am and Scrabble Club every Monday from 1pm.
For those looking to practice speaking English in an informal environment, English as a Second Language Conversation Groups run 2.30-3.30pm on Wednesdays and 11am-12pm on Saturdays at Manning Library, and 2-3pm Fridays at South Perth Library. Sessions are free and there’s no need to book.
