What happens to old library books?

Have you ever wondered what happens to old library books? 

South Perth Libraries are now participating in The Sustainability Project (TSP), which focuses on preventing discarded books going to landfill.

In partnership with local governments across Australia, TSP donates old books to communities in need, recycles them into new products through pulping or sells them.

Participating libraries then receive credits which are used to buy new books.
