School holiday fun in the City

News Update 30 March 2026

Families can look forward to a fun-filled  school holiday program this April across the City, with a packed lineup of creative workshops, storytelling sessions, hands-on activities and interactive events for all ages. From arts and crafts to music, movement and STEM challenges, there’s something to inspire every young mind.

The holidays also coincide with Youth Week (14–17 April), the State’s biggest celebration of young people. This year’s theme, “Strength in Our Stories”, highlights the diverse experiences that shape our community. A range of free activities will give young people the chance to connect, try new skills, express themselves and celebrate their positive contributions.

There’s even more to explore, including a new YA Book Club at South Perth Library and the brand-new youth space at Manning Library.

Adding to the excitement, the City’s No More Blank Walls Mural Festival (10–18 April) will bring colour and creativity to local streets, with artists transforming public spaces alongside free events like workshops, talks and a live art battle.

With so much on offer, there will be plenty of action across the City these school holidays.
