Pedestrian safety improvements - intersection of Antsey and Angelo Streets
The City is pleased to announce the upcoming construction of a new pedestrian zebra crossing at the intersection of Anstey and Angelo Streets, South Perth.
This project is in response to community feedback seeking improved pedestrian facilities. It is being delivered in collaboration with Main Roads Western Australia, with input from local retailers to improve alfresco areas and landscaping.
Key improvements include:
- Two new pedestrian access ramps
- Zebra crossing line marking and signage
- Two new streetlights
- Expanded and reconfigured alfresco area
- Tree planting and new landscaping
Construction is scheduled to commence late January 2026 and will be completed by February 2026. These upgrades will enhance safety and improve accessibility for all road users, with a strong focus on pedestrian movement through the precinct.
