Rediscover the Old Mill this summer
The City of South Perth is inviting the community to explore one of Perth’s most treasured landmarks as the Old Mill gears up for summer.
Following recent enhancement works, including installation of new interpretive signage displaying First Nations and European site history, removal of the front fence to optimise accessibility to the parklands, and refurbishment of the Cultural Hub, the Old Mill is ready to welcome visitors once again.
There are plenty of ways to enjoy this iconic site. Join a free guided tour on the first and third Sunday of each month to learn about the area’s First Nations connections and the Old Mill’s place in early European settlement, or simply relax with a picnic among the shaded native gardens.
The onsite Cultural Hub is also available for hire, offering a unique venue for functions of up to 50 people. The surrounding grounds can be booked for larger outdoor events.
Whether you’re visiting for the history, a special event or a laid-back afternoon, the Old Mill is the perfect spot to explore, unwind and connect with local heritage.
