Swan River fireworks display on Wednesday 26 March 2025
Residents are advised that a networking event for the Routes Asia Conference, hosted by Perth Airport and Tourism Western Australia, will take place on the South Perth Foreshore at Sir James Mitchell Park on Wednesday 26 March 2025 from 7pm to 11pm.
As part of this conference, there will be a fireworks display from a barge on the Swan River at 9.30pm, expected to last for approximately 12 minutes.
A noise management plan has been implemented to reduce any adverse effects on local residents and wildlife. There will be no loud fireworks and the barge will be positioned a safe distance from residents and 500m from Djirda Miya Island (our Black Swan habitat).
While the fireworks display is expected to be brief, residents in the surrounding areas may notice increased activity and noise during the event.
The fireworks display has been approved by the Department of Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS). You can view the schedule of fireworks display events on the DEMIRS website.
