New sewer connection installation works at Sandon Park in Salter Point
New sewer connection installation works in Sandon Park will improve the capacity for the existing Scout Hall, Curtin University Rowing Club and public toilets in Sandon Park, which are currently serviced by a septic tank system.
The City will be undertaking works as follows:
Location: Challenger Avenue to Sandon Park, Salter Point
Date: Week commencing Monday 13 January 2025
Duration: Approximately 16 weeks, weather permitting, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Please note the works may not be carried out every day during this period.
The sewer connection works will include:
- Supply and Installation of new sewer connection line system using horizontal directional drilling
- Supply and Installation of new underground pump station
- Decommissioning of existing septic tank and leach drain systems servicing the Scout Hall, Curtin University Rowing Club and public toilets
- Road, footpath and verge reinstatement
- No trees will be removed as directional drilling will be utilised
The City makes every effort to reduce the disruption caused by these works. Local residents will be informed about the works via letter.
