2024/25 Christmas-New Year rubbish collection and opening hours

Opening hours for the City's Civic Centre and many other facilities will change during the Christmas-New Year period:

Friday 20 December 2024: The Civic Centre will close at 12pm.

Tuesday 24 December 2024: The Civic Centre will close at 3pm and remain closed until Tuesday 2 January 2025, when normal hours will resume.

Rubbish and Recycling Collection

There will be no collection of general waste and recycling bins on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. All collections will be delayed by one day. For example, if your usual collection is on a Wednesday, it will take place on Thursday, and so on Friday collected Saturday. Collections on the Mondays and Tuesdays remain the same.

Recycling Centre

The Recycling Centre will be open from 8–11.30am on Friday 20 December and will close from Monday 23 December until Wednesday 1 January. Normal hours will resume from Thursday 2 January.

South Perth and Manning Library

Friday 20 December 2024: South Perth and Manning Library will close at 12pm.

Tuesday 24 December 2024: South Perth and Manning Library will close at 2pm and remain closed until Tuesday 2 January 2025, when normal hours will resume.
