News Update 28 October 2024
Road Works
Road rehabilitation works will commence on Mill Point Road and Old Mill Service Road in South Perth on Monday 11 November, 2024.

Repairing road surfaces and surrounding infrastructure will prevent further deterioration and ensure they remain in good condition for years to come.

The scope of work also includes the construction of a raised platform to improve safety for road users at the intersection of Mill Point Road and Mill Point Close.

This part of the project is funded by Main Roads WA under the Low Cost Urban Road Safety Program.

The City of South Perth will be undertaking the works at the intersection of Mill Point Road and Mill Point Close on Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm over an approximate five-week period.

Please note the works may not be conducted every day during this time.

The Mill Point Road off-ramp from Kwinana Freeway will need to close on two nights between 7pm and 5am to facilitate the works.

All properties will remain accessible during the works and road closures.

Notification of the road closure dates via letter drop and variable messaging boards will be provided prior to the closure.

The road works will include laying asphalt on five occasions (road resurfacing and raised platform installation), which will impact access to properties at certain times.

Minor civil infrastructure upgrades to access ramps, drainage and kerbing which may impact reticulation systems.

For the safety of road users and construction personnel, please follow signage and take care when driving in the area.

The City makes every effort to reduce the disruption caused by the road works.

Local residents will be informed about the works via letter and information can be found on our website.
