Calling all emerging artists: Showcase your talent at the City of South Perth Emerging Artist Award
The City of South Perth is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated Emerging Artist Exhibition and Arts Program for 2024. This is your chance to step into the spotlight and present your work to the community.
Entries are now open, providing an exciting opportunity for young and emerging artists to shine. With a prize pool exceeding $15,000, this annual award provides a unique opportunity for artists at the start of their career to gain exposure, connect with their peers and learn from experienced mentors.
This year, awards will be presented across 10 exciting categories. The highlight? The 2024 Emerging Artist Award winner will receive a $5,000 prize and the chance to host a solo exhibition at the prestigious Heritage House.
City of South Perth Mayor Greg Milner shared his enthusiasm for the award.
“The Emerging Artist Award is a cornerstone of our cultural calendar, offering a vital platform for up-and-coming artists to enhance their practice and discover new opportunities.
“It’s a fantastic chance for emerging artists to showcase their work, engage with fellow artists, and learn from established professionals. And with over $15,000 in prizes, the stakes have never been higher”.
