Evolve arts program returns to the City of South Perth
The City of South Perth is thrilled to announce the return of the Evolve: Arts, Events & Culture Winter Program, running from 13 July to 17 August 2024. This year's program promises to be a vibrant celebration of creativity, offering a diverse array of creative workshops, drop-in artist studios and a live music performance.
Let your imagination go wild and discover new skills as professional artists take over the City!
Engage with local creatives by wandering through live art studios, where you can observe artists at work, gain insights into their creative process and engage in conversation.
Unleash your inner artist at interactive workshops. These sessions, led by professional artists, offer a hands-on experience in various art forms, from drawing and painting to crafting and woodworking. Each workshop is designed to ignite your creativity and help you develop new skills.
Don’t miss the highlight of this year’s Evolve—an enchanting live performance by Viola Dana at the Como Theatre. This signature event promises to be a sensory feast, combining captivating music with the timeless charm of a silent movie played from 35mm cinema film.
City of South Perth Mayor Greg Milner said Evolve is a fantastic opportunity for the community to engage with the arts in meaningful and exciting ways.
“We’re proud to host Evolve again this year, showcasing local talent and providing enriching experiences for people of all ages," he said.
"Evolve celebrates the creative spirit of the City of South Perth and allows residents and visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture our City has to offer.”
