Star-studded line-up announced for Sounds in the Park and Sounds of Bunuru in 2024
The City of South Perth is thrilled to announce an electrifying line-up for their highly anticipated free summer concert series.
Sounds in the Park, one of the City’s most beloved events, is set to rock South Perth with the multi-ARIA award-winning Aussie rock legends 1927 as the headlining act. Joining them on stage will be one of the hottest artists in WA, Triple J Unearthed Feature Artist Angie Colman and her band.
Building on the success of the inaugural Sounds of Bunuru concert in 2023, the City is thrilled to announce that Like a Version sensation, Jem Cassar-Daley, will headline the concert in 2024, and will take you on an indie-pop journey like no other. Jem is a proud Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung woman who comes from a long line of storytellers. Joining the line-up will be seven-time Indigenous Act of the Year award winners, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse, and sensational The VOICE Australia finalist, Bojesse Pigram.
Mayor of South Perth, Greg Milner, was delighted with the line-up for the free outdoor concerts.
“We’re exceptionally proud of the quality of the all-Aussie line-ups we’ve curated for these concerts,” Mayor Milner said.
“Sounds in the Park and Sounds of Bunuru are showcasing the very best of Australian musical talent and we are just so pleased to bring such exceptional artists to our community.
“I encourage all community members to walk or cycle down to enjoy world-class music in the beautiful surrounds of South Perth and Como,” he added.
Sounds in the Park and Sounds of Bunuru are sponsored by Lotterywest, in partnership with Mentally Healthy WA’s Act Belong Commit campaign. Both concerts are proudly inclusive events – with Auslan interpreters, ample ACROD parking and track matting for those using a wheelchair, walking aid or pram.
