Remembrance Day service 2023

News Update 16 October 2023

On Remembrance Day, a minute of silence will be observed to remember those who died in the line of duty. We do this every year on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month (11am, 11 November), a time that signifies when World War I ended in 1918.

To honour this day, the City of South Perth will host a Remembrance Day Service in partnership with the Returned Services League (RSL) Victoria Park-South Perth Sub Branch.

The service will include the traditional wreath-laying, flag raising, Last Post bugle call and The Rouse. After the service, the City of South Perth will provide morning tea in the Civic Reception Room.
