Temporary closure of Queen Street Jetty
Update: This work has been extended because of daylight tide levels.
The City’s temporary closure of the Queen Street Jetty in South Perth has been extended to complete repair works on the jetty piles.
Works are expected to conclude on 26 September 2023 and it is anticipated the jetty will be reopened to the public the following day.
The City has considered a range of options for the jetty and a specialist contractor is needed to ensure the most appropriate and cost-effective approach to the repair work. The Department of Transport and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions have also provided advice and approvals for the project.
