Weed control throughout the City - 19 June to 24 July 2023

The City will carry out its 2023 Broadleaf Spraying Program from Monday 19 June until Monday 24 July 2023.

Subject to weather conditions, weed spaying will occur at various parks, reserves, verges and sumps starting at the Ellam Street end of Sir James Mitchell Park on Monday 19 June.

No spraying will occur on parks and reserves during the school holidays (1-16 July).

Clover, Bindii, Dandelion and other broadleaf weeds will be targeted during the weed control program, with selective herbicide Stadium Turf to be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s labelled directions and applied by approved contractors.

Appropriate signage will also be displayed on moving vehicles and at strategic locations while the work is being undertaken and all weed control operations will be monitored by City officers in accordance with safety guidelines.
