Renowned musician Phil Walleystack and his band will headline the City of South Perth’s Sounds of Bunuru concert at Comer Reserve on Saturday 25 March 2023.
A Noongar man raised in country WA, Phil has enchanted and captivated audiences around the world and will bring his harmonious mix of melodies to our community for this free live music event.
Soulful powerhouse ABRYNZ will kick off the show at 6pm to support Phil Walleystack and his band, who take to the stage at 7pm.
Mayor Greg Milner said Sounds of Bunuru aimed to offer a family-friendly celebration of culture, music and community.
“We’re very pleased to present the first ever Sounds of Bunuru event, which embraces the City’s strategic vision to create more social and cultural opportunities for our community,” he said.
“As a City, we are delighted to support inclusive events and provide ways for our community to enjoy shared cultural experiences, as well activating our beautiful public open spaces.”
The City of South Perth is committed to achieving its reconciliation goals of the Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan 2021-2023 and Sounds of Bunuru is a result of the plan’s actions to promote culture, enhace respect and increase an understanding and recognition of Aboriginal culture and heritage.
