'Tis the season to recycle more

The City’s Recycling Centre will be open during the festive season to ensure our environment doesn’t miss out this Christmas.

Our Waste Services team will be on hand from 8am-2pm between Thursday 29 December to Saturday 31 December and will resume normal hours from Wednesday 4 January.

Recycling Centre vouchers entitle residential ratepayers to dispose of two payloads of green waste and one payload of general waste in 2022/23.

The vouchers were sent with Rates Notices in August 2022.

There are many items you can take to our Recycling Centre at 199 Thelma Street in Como, however food waste is not among them.

If you need to dispose of excess food waste, please use the facilities at Armadale, Henderson or Balcatta Recycling Centres.
