State Underground Power works over Christmas

The Western Power contractor, Genus will not be working on the State Underground Power Project (SUPP) sites in Manning and Collier from Tuesday 21 December 2021 until Wednesday 5 January 2022.

The State Underground Power project in the Manning and Collier areas is progressing well with completion on schedule for mid 2022.

Background

The State Underground Power Program (SUPP) replaces overhead power lines with underground power infrastructure. The Program is a partnership between the State Government, Western Power and local government and is administered by Energy Policy WA. 

The Western Power contractors, Genus are currently working in the Collier and Manning area as part of Round Six of the State Underground Power Program.

The City is currently working with Western Power on a commencement plan for the South Perth and Hurlingham combined project area.
