Request for Electors’ Special Meeting re 50 Dyson Street

On Monday 13 December 2021 the City received a petition with 135 verified signatures requesting an Electors’ Special Meeting to discuss the proposed reclassification of 50 Dyson Street, Kensington.

At its meeting on Tuesday 14 December 2021, Council voted against the reclassification of the Church of St Martins in the Field and Durbridge Hall at 50 Dyson Street, Kensington.

As a result of the decision by Council, the City received a request to withdraw the petition calling for the Electors’ Special Meeting from the lead petitioner on Wednesday 15 December 2021.

Following advice from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the City agreed to the request.
