Reclassification of 50 Dyson Street Kensington

News Update 15 November 2021

The City thanks those who provided feedback on the application to reclassify the Church of St Martin in the Field and Durbridge Hall at 50 Dyson Street Kensington from category B (considerable significance) to category D (little significance).

Sites classified as category A or B on the City's Local Heritage Inventory are included on the Heritage List and the reclassification would see the place removed from the City's Heritage List.

In response to the application made by the property owner, the City sought feedback from nearby property owners, residents and the wider community. Feedback was open from Wednesday 20 October until 4pm, Wednesday 10 November 2021.

The City received approximately 250 submissions via the feedback form and email which are now being analysed. The outcomes of the feedback along with the heritage reports and a structure report will be presented to Council for their consideration in December 2021.

The agenda for the December Council meeting along with a copy of the report to Council will be available on the Council Meetings page of the City's website by 5pm on Friday 3 December.
