Local businesses invited to sundowner

News Update 27 July 2021

As part of our support for the local economy, the City is inviting local business owners, managers, and staff to a sundowner event on Wednesday 25 August at John McGrath Pavilion in South Perth.

Guest speakers include Perth Zoo Executive Director Wendy Attenborough and Small Business Commissioner David Eaton. Wendy Attenborough, also a South Perth resident, will provide insight into what it takes to run a business that is often not thought of as a business and let us in on future plans for the Zoo that will attract more visitors to the local area.

The Local Business Sundowner is open to owners, managers and staff of businesses of any size and nature in the City of South Perth. The event provides an opportunity to meet other business owners in the area and share experiences while enjoying light refreshments.

Business are also invited to add a listing to the City’s online Buy Local Directory as part of our ongoing Buy Local, Shop Local campaign. The directory provides a comprehensive, searchable list of businesses in South Perth, Como Kensington, Manning, Salter Point, Waterford and Karawara, and encourages the local community to shop local.

The Local Business Sundowner will take place from 5pm to 7pm at John McGrath Pavilion, 97 Hensman St, South Perth. The event is free and registrations are essential. Book now.
