Road Rehabilitation Works - South Terrace
COVID update - scheduled night works for Friday 23 April 2021 will continue with COVID safe practices in place.
In accordance with the 2020/21 Capital Works Program, the City of South Perth will be undertaking road rehabilitation works at the following location:
- South Terrace between Strickland Street and Labouchere Road, South Perth
Commencing 16 April 2021
Update working hours
Some components like the kerbing, footpath and drainage works will now be conducted during the day between the hours of 7am to 5pm. Asphalt works however will still be carried out during the night.
The City’s Civil contractor will inform surrounding residents of the proposed date the Asphalt works will be carried out.
The current proposed night shifts (weather permitted) are:
- 6pm and 6am, 21 April to 23 April 2021
- 6pm and 6am, 24 May to 25 May 2021.
The works will take approximately 4-5 weeks to complete, weather permitting
Work activities and noise management
Activities taking place at night include:
- Minor kerbing and footpath upgrades
- Drainage infrastructure upgraded
- Milling of existing road surfacing
- Resurfacing with new asphalt
- Traffic management.
Equipment and vehicle movements may create noise for adjacent residents. To minimise disturbance to residents, an out-of-hours Noise Management Plan has been prepared by the head contractor, West Coast Profilers Civil and approved by the City of South Perth.
Traffic management
For the safety of road users and personnel, temporary lane closures and detours will be implemented to facilitate the works. Please follow all signage and take care when driving in the area.
