July School Holidays at South Perth Libraries

The City's libraries have a full program of events and activities to keep the kids busy during the July school holidays.

The winter mystery program aims to inspire and delight young minds, with secret snow globes, superhero masks, spy safes, a Mario Kart tournament and the South Perth Detective agency available. 

The sessions are all free, however most require bookings.

Secret Snow Globes

Your own winter wonderland using colourful clay, glitter and your own imagination. Ages 8+

Superhero Masks

Using scratch art and our superhero booklet, design your own mask, powers, cape and superhero identity. Ages 5+

Spy Safes 

Is it a book? Create your own book safe that will blend into any shelf and keep all your spy secrets. Ages 5+

Mario Kart Tournament 

Calling all racers, join us for our first Mario Kart Tournament on Nintendo Switch. Ages 8+

South Perth Detective Agency 

Drop in activity - no booking required

Each location has a different mystery to solve! Move around the site, find certain things and see if you’ve got the right answer at the end.

Time for Stories

Our storytellers share some of their favourite picture books and get creative with a craft activity at the end. Suitable for two to five year olds. Bookings required - find out more

Time for Rhyme

Sing some of your favourites, learn some new ones and have a blast as we share a story. Recommended for children under 18 months old. Bookings required - find out more
